I’m excited about this new social media as I was couple years ago when was yahoo free. @AprilRapunzel showed me this page and I’m thankful for that.
I’m a wannabe person, and also a (but not the unicorn frapuccino one I have my own grinder and a ). My patronus is a bat acordingg to .

Oh and big news! In a month or so I’m moving from Europe to . I already bought the electric cord reduction so it’s serious :D

@RachelRowland Welcome! ☺

Totally agree - this has been the most excited I've been about social media in a long, long time! There's a real sense of community here!

Congratulations on the impending move, too! We don't like to brag, but we think we have a pretty decent country! 😁

@Supernova It almost feels like the old days when you spent your evening chatting with random people and everyone was nice :D
And indeed you have a pretty decent country from what I've heard, that's why it was my number one choice. I'm bit scared though - bears, cougars and wolverines 🐺

@RachelRowland Fortunately, for the most part, all those critters are pretty scared of us, too! 😄

@Supernova That's a relieve, I'm glad to hear that Canadians do not actually wrestle with bears with their bare hands. 😅

@Supernova 😂 🤣 I almost spit on my monitor while laughing :D Is there anything more Canadian than this?

@RachelRowland It'd be SO easy to say "no", but, dollars to donuts, there's got to be something even more outlandish!

@RachelRowland You're moving to Jasper? I'm a little jealous. I've always wanted to live there, but it's very difficult to get in due to rules around it being in a national park.

@ink_slinger Huh, I didn't know that. I'm going to be there for a year, part of working holiday visa. Is it difficult to live there permanently as a resident? Edmonton look as a nice city too.

@RachelRowland Oh, that makes sense. To live there permanently is a lot harder because there are limits on how big the community can be in order to minimize impact on the natural environment of the park.

I like Edmonton, though. And it's only a 4-hour drive to Jasper...not super close, but easy to get away for the weekend.
