@AprilRapunzel Welcome! I read The Bell Jar for the first time last year and was blown away by 's depth.

I'm also a Harry Potter fan but I was sorted into

My husband @thurloat and I are both .

@JessSloan Thanks for the warm welcome! โ˜บ

Oh, you should also try her poetry, there's even more depth there!

is my second favorite house (you know, in case the Sorting Hat's hesitating where to put me)

And it's excellent to hear that both you and your husband are ! Way to go! ๐Ÿ‘

@AprilRapunzel Her poetry is how i was introduced :) In First and Second year of University we studied several of her pieces. Lots of talent!

@JessSloan I suppose you also studied Tedd Hughes then? They usually teach them together. I just love his Birthday Letters โค

@AprilRapunzel His work sounds familiar.

I was more taken by short story though. Charlotte Perkins Gilman's The Yellow Wallpaper is a constant companion.

@JessSloan Oh, I know that one, I remember being completely taken aback by its message. Are there any other short stories you really liked? I am more of a novel-reader, so any short stories recommendations are always welcomed :)

@AprilRapunzel Hills Like White Elephants by Ernest Hemingway is one of my favourites. I also enjoy The Signal Man by Charles Dickens at Christmas time.

@JessSloan Thank you, I will check out Dickens when it gets closer to Christmas, hehe, I always loved his Christmas Carol.

Hills Like White Elephants is a classic, the conversation of the main couple is simply unforgettable โ˜บ

@AprilRapunzel Welcome! How much water do you drink? It must be a lot if it's worthy of inclusion in your introduction.

@ink_slinger oh, I've been hospitalized as a kid, because my kidney's suddenly stopped working, so naturally water became my best friend after they started working again ๐Ÿ˜‚ and that's why water made it to the list, I guess (it's always on my mind)

@AprilRapunzel That's a pretty good reason to always be thinking about water!

@AprilRapunzel Welcome aboard!

Yeah, it all does seem overwhelming at first, but give it a bit of time and you'll have the hang of things here!

(Fortunately, there are a lot of super helpful folks around these parts!)

@Supernova oh, thank you, it really can get overwhelming, but people here really are super-nice ๐Ÿ˜Š

@AprilRapunzel Welcome!

I think yours is the first non-ironic use of the hashtag I've seen. It appears you're a trend setter to boot!

@Modern_Industrial ok, now you lost me... fill me in, please? what exactly is a "boot"? (I guess it will take some time for me to grasp the lingo, haha) ๐Ÿค”
