Whoa, #MetaFilter is in pretty deep financial trouble. I am not a very active member of that community anymore, so I'm a little torn. I don't want the site to go away, but I also don't feel like paying a monthly subscription fee for a site I don't visit very often. I'd be willing to give a one time donation, but would that really make a difference in the long term?
