@sunita @vfrmedia Yeah exactly the same. I fought the good fight for a long time, but the number of idiotic "why you need to promote your #brand on Twitter" #digitalmarketing #guru posts made it useless. Half the people I "know" who are on Twitter don't even log in. They just autopost links to their content & products. "Self promotion" in the way everyone standing in a street market shouting about their wares is "self promoting."
Yes, it is a fact that brands want and need to sell to keep themselves alive and operating.
On this perspective it is no surprise that they want to be all-around for possible users to see them and "want" to buy them.
#Brands are acting on their comfort zone instead of helping users figure out their own brand-related #motivations for more "natural" consumption.
#Marketing #disruption is needed, not spamming all over.
#Digital #disruption isn’t actually about technology. Digital disruption is about:
1. Understanding the actual realities of the market.
2. Knowing the true needs, wants, beliefs and motivations of consumers.
3. Framing your business and brand relevantly within that context.
4. And then…using technology for engagement.
Let's hope not to see all sorts of #badpractices of #socialmarketing on Mastodon.
PLEASE, do not post here your old Facebook, Twitter stuff just to have presence here.
