I studied Japanese history in graduate school and like, I never want to talk about it because there's always some weeb shithead who wants to be all orientalist, thinking he's being complimentary.

@Selsky Whaaat? My high school students get way more diversity. Plus, we're project-based, so they get to do whatever they want in terms of projects across the curriculum that satisfy standards and whatnot. Our program is called CDAT - I think you'd be into it.

@carolkimari It's so weird to have ample room to write whatever I want. I've gotten so good at brevity.

@sophia Damn it. I suck at that too. I don't agree with most people's definition of what's attractive.. Everyone who says they don't use external validation always has such shitty advice on how to validate yourself.

@sophia Ok. I do too, and I honestly would love some suggestions if you find anything that helps with self-esteem. Most advice feels too Gwyneth Paltrowesque for my taste.

Confession: I used to live by this awesome goth/alternative club in Buckhead. One night, I couldn't sleep, so I put on a coat over my pajamas, put on sneakers and went for dollar drinks. No one cared, and it was pretty awesome. I wish I'd done that more.

What music should I be listening to? I don't really listen to heavy metal (except for the Nordic stuff) or country.
