So, that #witchestown drama, eh? All politics and interpersonal drama aside, it does speak to both the weakness and strength of a decentralized network. A node can go down and the greater network will survive. But also a huge node can go down on the whim of one person.
@ink_slinger Almost feels like we need another layer of distributed: mirrors of each instance so that it can be supported by a true collective rather than the whims of Derek.

@ink_slinger@thurloat Or maybe the solution is an organizational one - have the instance run by a non-profit, managed by a board of instance participants? Have some bylaws controlling instance dissolution?
